Course contents :  The course will be divided into 4 chapters:

I. Mechanisms involved in the innate immune response

II. B- and T-cell generation, activation and differenciation.

III.Vaccines

IV. Immune escape

The second part of the course will be dedicated to presentations prepared by the students (3 students /group) on topics chosen at the begining of the year.
Course objective :  This course will allow a more detailed approach of some aspects of immunology. It will also allow the students to individually search for informations in the litterature and to make a presentation to the other students.
Prerequisites :  General Immunology
Organization :  1h30 lectures.
Written notes :  All the illustrations used during the course (slide show) will be available
(print version or digital format -MyULg)
Assessment :  The final note will be calculated on:
1. Oral exam on the theoretical lessons .
2. Oral presentation (by group) made during the second part of the course
3. Presentation (at the oral exam) of a scientific article related to the topics that have been presented by the students.
