Course contents :  This module consists of the following courses:

- Neuro-anatomy (J. Scoenen)
- Histology (M.P. Defresne)
- General Pathology (Y. Henrotin)
- Sport traumology applied to the musculoskeletal system (J.M. Crielaard)
- Special pathology applied to the musculoskeletal system (M. Foidart)
- Biochemistry (B. Rogister)
- Contra-indications in sport practice (J.M. Crielaard)
- Rehabilitation basics (J.L. Croisier)
Course objective :  This neurological module aims to make students understand, through a mult-disciplinary approach, the anatomo-functional organisation of the Nervous System and the physio-pathologie of the main neurological syndromes that could benefit from physical treatment.
Prerequisites :  The basics of the anatomy of the Nervous System taught in secondary education and the 'Introduction to Human Anatomy' taught in S2, General Histology, a theoretical course on neuro-anatomy.
Workshops :  Neuro-anatomy: Plexus and cranial nerves, Eye and ear, Brain dissection

Histology: Microscope observation of nerve tissue cells

Rehabilitation basics: Illustrations of the main stretching and strengthening techniques used in re-education. The students also participate in iso-kinetik evaluation and strengthening demonstrations.
Organization :  This course is organised around 40h theoretical courses and 5h practical work.

Assessment :  Written multi-disciplinary exam (Multiple choice and open questions)
