| Course contents : | This course is part of a module on Gender studies. It aims at presenting women writers whose works may not have received the recognition they deserve. |

| Course objective : | This year the course bears on women poets from Ireland, both the Republic and Ulster. |

| Prerequisites : | Good knowledge of English |

| Workshops : | Only few students attend the course, which as a consequence consists more of workshops than of lectures. |

| Assessment : | Students are expected to hand in an essay of 2 to 3,000 words on a couple of poems by one of the writers we will have discussed in class. An oral examination will take this assignment as its starting point. |
