Course contents :  Globalization makes it for every manager necessary to communicate with foreign business partners. The course aims to increase the knowledge and the know-how developed by the student in 1th and 2nd bachelor, as well with regard to linguistic aspects (structures, specific vocabulary) as to the knowledge of the German (business) culture.

- Transport and logistics
- Sale and distribution
- Trade fairs
- Import-export
- Preparation for a traineeship in Germany
Course objective :  C1. Learning specific vocabulary

C1. Informations about business life in Germany and about some intercultural aspects.

P2. Oral and spoken drill exercises to fix the structures and the vocabulary.

P3. Written and oral production exercises.
Prerequisites :  German courses level 1 and 2.
Workshops :  During the summer semester, with Mr. David Homburg. It will make it possible to work in smaller groups and to adapt the course to possible level differences of the students (because of the Socrates stay).
Organization :  A1. Presentation by the teacher of different aspects of the business life in Germany (vocabulary and economic and cultural aspects).

A2. Exercises in the multi-media lab, in the language lab, on-line (Lola), in the classroom and at home to develop the 4 skills (writing, reading, speaking and listening skills).

A3. Discussions; oral presentations.

In the classroom: 60 hours
Work at home (grammar, writing, reading exercises): 15 hours
Work at home with the book "L'allemand économique et commercial": 15 hours
Learning: 15 hours
Reading press articles: 15 hours

Assessment :  E1: prepared listening comprehension (cf. book "L'allemand économique et commercial"; prepared German-French translation; oral questions about the course = 30 %

E2: French-German translations (specific vocabulary): 15 %

E3: not prepared listening comprehension; written expression; oral presentation of press articles: 55 %

Written exam and listening comprehension: in May or June, 150 minutes.

Oral exam: in May or June.
