Physical layer : cabling system, wireless LAN, topology, hardware devices, repeater, concentrator 4.2. Datalink layer : network access modes (contention, token, polling) + hardware devices : Switch - Bridge 5. TCP/IP Protocols
5.1 IP addressing system, Address Distribution ( DHCP, etc..)
5.2 Domain name, DNS.
5.3 Router, Routing principles and protocols
5.4 Transport Protocols in TCP/IP

| Course objective : | The content of this course is coordinated with "Telecommunications" in 4th year of engineering. The course focuses on computer netwoks and communication protocol ( software) whereas the course "Telecommunications" focuses on the physics of communication ( analog telephony, digital telephony, sattelite communication, etc.) |
