Course contents :  This introductory course provides an ideal environment to help students discover the opportunities offered by the internet in terms of management information and decision support. The internet-based analysis of real-life business cases favors a better understanding of the impact of this technology on various areas of operational management. Students are invited to develop a prototype internet site for a company of their choice.
Course objective :  Understand current and future challenges arising from the recent évolution of information technologies. Discover and use internet-based development tools.
Organization :  Lectures, internet-based case analysis, term project.
Written notes :  Reading list: articles and chapters. Reference internet sites.
Assessment :  Personal involvement. Individual assignments. Development of a prototype internet site.
