| Course contents : | 1. Theoretical course:
Introduction to the Database Management Sytems, ACCESS and MySQL DBMS, the relational algebra and the normal forms of the Codd relational model, the SQL language, DATA DEFINITION LANGUAGE (DDL), DATA MANIPULATION LANGUAGE (DML) and QUERIES.
PHP scripts language.
Internet: PHP-MySQL dynamic web.
Applications in management.
Information retrieval on Internet and management of documentary resources.
2. Workshops:
Database ACCESS. PHP scripts. Search for documentation on Internet. Advanced Excel.
3. Database project:
The students will realize a Database and will write a report on this work. |

| Course objective : | To allow the students to develop management applications with computer-based tools: ACCESS DBMS, SQL queries. Internet: dynamic web, MySQL DBMS, SQL queries and PHP scripts. To design and realize a Database Management System. To be able to effectively carry out the stages of a research on Internet aiming an informational need. |

| Workshops : | Sessions of workshops on personal computer: Database ACCESS, PHP scripts, documentation retrieval on Internet, advanced Excel. |

| Organization : | The course is given to the second four-monthly period. The theoretical course: 2h per week. The workshops: 2h by fortnight. E-learning. |
