Course contents :  This seminar is organized as a scientific research seminar focused in the field of management control systems.

It is organized in 5 sessions of 3 hours, during which some scientific papers recently published in the specialized literature are first presented, then analyzed in a scientific perspective and positioned in the field of the scientific research in management.
Course objective :  Some recent scientific papers are analyzed.

They are strongly linked with the contingent perspective of management control systems, whith the specificities of management control in some specific industry contexts and with the impact of the human factor on the exercise of management control.
Prerequisites :  Management Accounting AND Management Control
Workshops :  Scientific analysis, in a common group, of scientific papers.

Attendance is compulsory at each session and each paper has to be read and prepared in advance.
Organization :  15 hours, 2nd quadrimester

Place and schedule : Office "Salle du Conseil" (3rd floor), Building B 31, each Wednesday, from 10.30 to 12.30

Starting date : 9.3.2005
Written notes :  A series of some recent scientific papers focused on strategic management control.

Assessment :  Continued evaluation of the work realized during the sessions (50 %)

Extensive presentation of a scientific paper (50 %).
