- Genetics of conservation

4. Evolution (A. Vanderpoorten) (10h + 10 Pr)

- Theory of Evolution: History and introduction-Elements and principles of Evolutionary Biology
-Coevolution (symbiosis, parasitism, the red queen theory etc.)
-Other applications: Evolutionary ecology/Ecoethology/Human evolution
-Darwinism in question
Course objective :  Fundamentals of population genetics and molecular evolution.
Prerequisites :  Elements of biology, genetics and biochemistry of the Bac level.
Workshops :  Practical courses on bioinformatic applications of molecular evolution and on resolution of problems of population genetics
Organization :  First quadrimester course taking usually place in one of the lecture rooms of the Botanical Institute in Sart Tilman (B.22). The sequence of the course is that of the general presentation.
