Course contents :  1. Define and specify what is a report (contained, form, methods) Identification of the various types of research and stages of a research project

Instructions of presentation of the TFE

2. The choice of the subject - The construction of the object -The use of library -The review of literature -Plagiarism!

3. The framework of analysis: Assumptions, Variables dependent and independent, Definition of the concepts, To build or use theories

4. Methodology: quantitative choice/qualitative- data-gathering (sample - representativeness) -presentation of the various techniques (questionnaire, interviews, analyze documents, basic salary of data, etc.) - guiding principles for the analysis of the qualitative and quantitative data

5. Qualitative research: interviews, observation, analyzes documents, the method of the cases: collecting and analyzing data

6. Quantitative research: development of a questionnaire, use of data bases: collecting and analyzing data

7. Conclusions and the introduction/the bibliography/the appendices.

Course objective :  
  • To identify the various stages in the construction and the development of the dissertation and the TFE;
  • To specify the various stages and methods of the scientific investigation;
  • To give some councils for the drafting of the TFE and oral defense.

Assessment :  Individual work which presents your subject of memory, analysis of 4 scientific articles, a biblio targeted (see the site of the course for the instructions to respect)

At the end of June and at the end of August, acceptance of the subject and promoter nomination and of the committee of reading.
