Course contents :  Variability of meteorological parameters. Radiative processes. Applications to thermostatics. General geophysical fluid equations. Theory of the general circulation. Saturation and condensation processes. Atmospheric circulation at large and synoptic scales.
Course objective :  Analysis and study of physical processes playing an important role in the atmosphere and at the air-sea interface.
Prerequisites :  Thermodynamics, applied mathematics and fluid dynamics at a level of batchelor of science with a major in physics and mechanics.
Workshops :  Exercices included in the oral lectures
Organization :  10 lectures of 3 hours
Written notes :  Written lectures notes
Assessment :  Oral examination.
