Course contents :  Study of sound propagation and applications to electroacoustical transducers (microphones and loudspeakers).

Contents : propagation equation, plane waves, spherical and cylindrical waves, piston radiation, Kundt standing wave tube, equivalent acoustical, mechanical and electrical circuits, detailed study of microphones and loudspeakers based on their electroacoustical modelling, laboratory experiments (groups of 5 to 6 students).
Course objective :  Study of sound propagation and applications to electroacoustical transducers (microphones and loudspeakers).
Prerequisites :  Fundamentals of electrical circuits analysis
Mathematics : differential equations
Workshops :  Exercises
3 laboratory experiments (groups of 5 to 6 students). Presence at these laboratory sessions is mandatory.
Organization :  13 lessons, 2h theory and 2h exercises or labo experiments (in general)
Written notes :  Available by the teacher
Assessment :  written examination
