Course contents :  Contents: introduction, unitary transforms, linear filtering and deconvolution, mathematical morphology, non-linear filtering, features extraction and border detection, texture, enhancement and restoration, shape analysis, image segmentation, industrial applications
Course objective :  During this course, the main questions about image processing are approached.
We study theoretical and practical aspects of image processing.
Prerequisites :  None
Workshops :  Apart from the theoretical course, there are :
  • exercises with the assistant
  • computer simulations
  • a homework (compulsory) consisting in a software implementation of image processing
Organization :  This course takes place during the first semester. It includes a lecture on theory and training session per week.

Assessment :  Written exam (compulsory) but it is possible to do a work instead of this exam.

Homework (compulsory).
This work must imperatively be given during the penultimate week of course of the first semester.

Methods of examination:
The exam is composed of theoritical questions and exercises. This is an open-book exam.
