Course contents :  This course comprises exclusively a theoretical part. It proposes the bases of sport management and allows students to acquire the notions which will be useful at the time of the following year and the practical activities. It meets the following topics:
- Recall of notions relative to sport' s development and structure.
- Comparison between various sport organizations.
- Analysis of the components of an effective management.
Course objective :  - To present the principles of the sport management

- To show the students all the aspects of an effective management

- To involve the students in an analysis of sport's organizations

- To identify professions available in sport

- To provide basic principles of management for sports' organizations
Prerequisites :  Upstream. Sport and society, concepts approached at the time of the practical courses of physical education.
Downstream. Partim II of the same course (2d licence) and dissertation in the field of Sport management.
Organization :  The teaching sessions are planned during the semester 5. All information are provided during the first lesson.

Students will have theoritical sessions and they will have to prepare a report focused on the organization of a sport.
Written notes :  A copy of the slides and documents proposed during the theoretical lessons is provided to the students' representative. In addition, the students will have to seek other information, according to recommendations' of the course's leader or his assistants.
Assessment :  Works and results at the January examination are combined for the final note.
