Course contents :  Game theory is the study of multiperson decision problems. Such problems arise frequently in economics (oligopoly, bargaining and auction, monetary policy, climate change,...). This course is dedicated to the basic concepts of game theory and the applications of these tools to economic (or other) problems. In a second part, the course concentrates on information economics. Course outline
  • Static games (Definition, Nash equilibrium, mixed strategies)
  • Dynamic games and subgame perfect equilibrium
  • Games of incomplete information
  • Cooperative games
  • Information economics (moral hazard and adverse selection).
Prerequisites :  Basic knowledge of single variable calculus and probability.
Workshops :  Exercice sessions will be organized during the semester. Details will follow.
