The second part addresses the agricultural and food problems in developing countries and the agricultural policies implemented or to be implemented to promote the development of the agricultural sector and the resolution of food problems.
Course objective :  To deepen the understanding of a huge paradox at the global level: the simultaneous existence of, on the one hand, agricultural policies aiming to avoid too large surpluses in industrialised countries (which, in terms of expenditures, account for about one half of the expenditures of the European Union); and, on the other hand, of chronic food deficits in many developing countries.
Prerequisites :  Introduction to the political economy.
Organization :  Lectures.

For the last classes, presentation of papers by students' groups on the "agricultural package" within the World Trade Organization negotiations (positions of the various groups of countries and agricultural lobbies).
