DIGT0430-1  Biochemical and Physiological Aspects of the Digestive System
Duration :  15h Th
Credits/ECTS :
"licencié" in biomedical sciences, 1st yearDeuxième quadrimestre4
Holder(s) :  Bernard Rogister
Language :  Langue française
Course contents :  Cells of digestive tract share thre characteristics :

1) these are polarized cells with specialized functions at the apical or the basal pole of the cell.

2) they are formed during all the life from a stem cells pool.

3) The high number of cancer of digestive tract.

Based on these observations, the table of lectures are :

1. Transport trough cell membranes

2. Microtubules and cytoskeletton

3. Cell adhesion and cell junctions

4. Protein addressed to the cell membrane

5. Stem cells and niches

6. Adenocarcinoma arising
Course objective :  1. The aim of these lectures is to allow the students to understand the particular aspects of biochemistry and the physiology of the digestive tract

2. To stimulate the integration of the knowledge already acquired by going further than the cleavage of the lectures
Prerequisites :  General biochemsitry, general physiology, human biochemistry, human physiology, histolgy, general biology, immunology, pathology.
Workshops :  No practical course
