| Course objective : | This optional course belongs to the program of the orientation " clinical biology " proposed by the 1st " licence " in biomedical sciences. It follows upon the obligatory course of clinical chemistry. It gives additional information on laboratory tests useful for assessing and monitoring diseases affecting a significant part of the population, for example obesity and diabetes. |

| Prerequisites : | Clinical chemistry (including clinical enzymology) (CHIM0432-1). |
|
| Workshops : | No practical work. Visit of laboratories and demonstrations. |
|
| Organization : | Course given during the 1st four-month period (from the 6th week). |

| Written notes : | Copies of the projected boards and notes of course. |
|
| Assessment : | Written examination. |
