Course contents :  Study of the biological explorations used in various pathologies such as cardiovascular diseases, obesity and diabetes, bone markers and osteoporosis, tumor markers, autoimmunity, inflammation,...
Course objective :  This optional course belongs to the program of the orientation " clinical biology " proposed by the 1st " licence " in biomedical sciences. It follows upon the obligatory course of clinical chemistry. It gives additional information on laboratory tests useful for assessing and monitoring diseases affecting a significant part of the population, for example obesity and diabetes.
Prerequisites :  Clinical chemistry (including clinical enzymology) (CHIM0432-1).
Workshops :  No practical work. Visit of laboratories and demonstrations.
Organization :  Course given during the 1st four-month period (from the 6th week).
Written notes :  Copies of the projected boards and notes of course.
Assessment :  Written examination.
