| Course contents : | Photoabsorption - Oscillator strhgths - Absolute cross sections - Electronic spectroscopy - Photoelectron spectroscopy and related spectroscopies (XPS, X-ray fluorescence). Inelastic diffusion of electrons. |

| Course objective : | Presentation of the spectroscopic methods and of the atomic and molecular physico-chemical parameters taht can be obtained by means of these methods. |

| Prerequisites : | Matter studied during the second and the third year. |

| Organization : | Oral lectures according to a timetable discussed with the students. |

| Written notes : | The students receive a copy of the transparencies used during the lectures. The list of the reference books is given during the first lecture. |

| Assessment : | Oral examination. |
