Course contents :  The more recent progress in macromolecular engineering and the emerging materials is discussed, including electrically conducting polymers, polymers with non linear optical properties, biomaterials and polymers suited to information storage.
Course objective :  Emphasis on the impact of polymers on the development of new technologies.
Prerequisites :  Good knowledge of macromolecular chemistry.
Organization :  7 courses of 2h each.
Written notes :  Made available to the students for photocopy.
Assessment :  Written exam.
