Course contents :  First part : The structural basis of the life

Second Part : The life continuity
13.The cell multiplication
14.The reproduction of organisms
Course objective :  The course is devoted to the study of the structure and the functions of the cell, common denominator of the living matter. The modes of cell multiplication and reproduction are also examined.
Prerequisites :  You have to know the french language
Workshops :  1. Morphological study of the cell
2. Osmose and membrane permeability
3. Cell energetics
4. Mitosis, cell cycle, meiosis
Organization :  The theoretical courses will be given in the first quadrimester, the Thursday at 8h30 until 10h30 in the amphitheatre 300 (building B7a) .

The pratical works illustrate concretly importants aspects of the theoretical course.

The horary of the pratical work will be detailed during the first theoretical course. The sessions of the pratical works accur in the big room of the pratical works of the Zoology institute (building I1, 22, Van Beneden qai, Liège )

Remarks :  The pratical works are an important help in the acquisition of the knowledge, in the acquisition of a criticism spirit and in the expension of your observation sense. To be profitable, the pratical works assistance implicate that you have study before the content ( at least a deapfull reading). Your presence in the pratical works is obligatory. All absences must be justified with a certificate. In the case of repeated and no justified absences , the student will be refused of the cell biology exam.
