Course contents :  Enzyme kinetics: Henri-Michaelis equation and application to 1 and 2-substrate systems. Inhibition and inactivation.
Transient-state kinetics.
Cooperative systems.
Analysis of catalytic pathways and chemical basis of enzyme catalysis.
Course objective :  Give an approach to the study of the catalytic properties of enzymes and of the chemical basis of enzyme catalysis.
Prerequisites :  General biochemistry. Chemical thermodynamics. Physical chemistry. Structure of biological macromolecules.l
Organization :  10 90-min lectures. Students prepare a chapter which is discussed duroing the lecture.

Assessment :  Analysis and discussion of an enzyme kinetics paper.
