Course contents :  In this course, it is important to develop a knowledge of architecture that is not based upon rules, norms or doctrines but rather on concepts, i.e. to assess the architectural knowledge in epistemological terms. The architectural knowledge must be formalised, in order to reduce the reality's complexity into a restricted number of representing concepts and to elaborate coherent models meant to transmit the observed principles. The concept, simultaneously thinking instrument and operating agent in the "projecting", holds a determining place in the composition process.

The courses are given over a three years period, depending on the themes considered.
Organization :  1er quadrimestre
