Clinic of anesthesiology, reanimation and intensive care of horses

Course contents : The formation of the students will be done throughout their participation to the reception during the duties services and to the follow up of the animals in intensive care.
Course objective : - To learn how to react when confronted to an emergency equine case in teh field of internal medicine, surgery or obstetric.

- To understand the given treatments

- To be abble to insure the follow-up of the horses in intensive care, to develop appropriate technical skills and to adpat the treatment depending on teh evolution of the cases.
Prerequisites : Theorical courses in the subjects covered bu this clinic received during the 4th and the 5th year of the formation.
Organization : The training in intensive care is included in the clinics of equine surgery, internal medicine and reproduction and includes participation to duties service.
Written notes : There are no specific notes for this clinic.
Assessment : Evaluation will be done by means of an written exam, included in the written exams organised for the courses VETE0078-1 and VETE0081-1.
