Seminar on the process decisionnel in European Union

Course contents : This course aims at describing and explaining the decision process at the European Union level, as well as its evolution from the Treaty of Roma in 1957. A practical application of this decision process will be analysed and criticised, on the basis of a concrete case-study.
Course objective : To get students to understand the decision process, in its legal and political realities
Prerequisites : A basic knowledge of the European institutions
Organization : A workshop, combining a lecture, a debate with questions and answers, and an analysis of sources.

First semester.
Written notes : None.

Recommended reading: they will be given, if necessary, during the year.
Assessment : Oral exam at the end of the year.
