| This course constitutes a general introduction to sociology, its main authors and paradigms. Students will be introduced to this discipline by focusing on three concepts: roles, power and communication through a three-levels'analysis (interpersonal, groups and society). | |

- To present a general history of sociology as a scientific discipline and place sociology within human and social sciences;
- To approach the main paradigms, authors and theories;
