Course contents : This course introduces the various types of theoretical models currently used in cognitive sciences ("diagrams", box-arrow type models, interactive and connectionist models, neurobiological and neural models) and considers their heuristic value for psychological sciences. The various theoretical approaches will be illustrated by presenting models for different cognitive domains, including language and memory. Another issue will deal with the dynamic versus static nature of cognitive models when studying the development of cognitive functions.
