Course contents : This training period prepares and trains the participant in the practice of teaching French as a foreign language in class. It includes a section on observation and one on teaching. These will form the subjects of reports and preparations while working with experienced teachers.
Course objective : Prepare the participants to take responsibility for a French as a foreign and a second language course and to improve their teaching efficiency.
Prerequisites : Good knowledge of french grammar and didactics.

Allophone students should have reached the C1 level as defined by the common European framework of reference for learning languages.
Workshops : The students attend and participate in courses given by their training mentors.
Organization :
  • 15 hrs of seminars for preparing for training
  • 45 hrs of training (observing and teaching)
Period: to be arranged. Place and timetable: to be arranged (the training periods will take place at ISLV at the University of Liège and in other institutions, schools, associations. The trainees are invited to propose where they would like to carry out their training periods.
Written notes : Various documents and bibliographical references, as well as reports frameworks are communicated to the participants during the course.
Assessment : Assessment of teacher training periods and written reports.
