Course contents : During this teaching module, neurological disorders of children and adults are considered in an integrative mode including medical and surgical aspects. Are also included neuropathology, pathophysiology and diagnostic methods (neurophysiology, neurochemistry, imaging and molecular genetics). Lessons are also specifically focused on neuropharmacology and neurological emergencies.



Brief summary of relevant neuroanatomy is included in each lesson.

The selection of diseases that are considered during this neurological teaching is based on the following criteria:

a) frequent disorders e.g. headache

b) urgent disorders e.g. stroke

c) treatdible disorders e.g. mysthenia gravis

d) prototypic disorder e.g. Friedreich's ataxia

Assessment : Written exam (Multiple Choice Questions, QROC, QO) and an oral exam in the framework of a multi-disciplinary exam.Obligatory presence in stages, practical courses and ARC.
