Course contents : Mathematical basic concepts and tools applied to the analysis and modeling of physical, biological and chemical aspects of the marine environment.

Length/time scales. Dimensionnal analysis. Interpolation. Dynamical modelling (ODE, Difference equations, PDE). Stability.
Course objective : Introduction to the field of mathematical modelling.
Prerequisites : Calculus and matrix algebra.
Organization : Lectures introducing the theoretical aspects + applications and exemples : 40 hours
