Course contents : General introduction to literary theory. Origin and history of the discipline. Survey of major tendencies and recent developments.
Course objective : Providing the students with a basic knowledge of the various methodologies in literary studies.
Organization : Duration and period: 30h of theory in the 1st semester.

Site and schedule: A2 building, room 6/8, from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

Teaching and learning methods: lectures.
Written notes : Workbook, provided by the lecturer.
Assessment : Oral exam in the January session.
