Course contents : Advanced introduction to the reading of a work of modern literary prose. Discussion and use of the narratological tools.
Course objective : Familiarising the students with the current methodology in the field of the interpretation of Dutch literary prose, in order to prepare them for the writing of papers.
Prerequisites : A good command of spoken and written Dutch.
Workshops : Presentations.
Organization : Duration and period: 30 h of theory, 2nd semester.

Site and schedule: A2 building, Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

Teaching and learning methods: lectures, presentations and group discussions.
Written notes : Compulsory reading: Hugo Claus, De verwondering (Amsterdam, De Bezige Bij)
Assessment : Written and oral exam in the June session.
