Course contents : Study of the work of Hugo Claus in as far as it deals with the Second World War. Outline of the historical context of the texts under study.
Course objective : Introduction to the study of a body of literary work as the articulation of an historical epoch.
Prerequisites : A good command of spoken and written Dutch.
Workshops : Collectives discussions of several texts by Claus following individual presentations.
Organization : Duration and period: 30h of theory in the 2nd semester.

Site and schedule: A2 building, Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

Teaching and learning methods: lectures, individual presentations and collective discussions.
Written notes : Compulsory reading:
