| Course contents :
| It is no longer enough for a company to innovate. To be successful, small and large companies must have an integrated innovation strategy and use the lates management tools to organize their innovation process. | |

| Course objective :
| Supported by lectures and workshops, students learn about the crucial decisions taken in innovation strategy, starting from the selection of innovation projects until the launch of the product. They learn how to identify and create optimal conditions in order to succeed in the innovative project. The development of a complete and rigorous innovation strategy is included in the course. This work requires a strong implication of students who are in charge of all development stages, from the conception until the presentation of results. | |

| Prerequisites :
| Knowledge of basic management and marketing theories. | |

| Workshops :
| In small groups the students will conduct a consultancy project, and report their findings at the end of the seminar. | |

| Organization :
| The course consists of approximately 10 theoretical seminars and has several guest lecturers from industry.

- New Product Development (NPD) process and project team management

| Assessment :
| Students teams (5 persons) write a report of a consultancy project (30%) and present the result to the professor (20%). A written report of approximately 20 pages A4 (1.5 lines spaced) and a PowerPoint presentation are required for passing the seminar. Presentation skills of individual students are also graded (10%). Moreover, a written exam with multiple choices questions will be organized (40%). | |
