Course contents : This is a practical course that provides opportunities for students to analyze the most important aspects of small businesses takeover.
The issues addressed in this course include opportunities identification, company evaluation, negotiation strategies, financing, assessing markets, fiscal and legal aspects, MBO... It also covers some legal and managerial aspects of pre and post-bankruptcy management. The class is in a seminar format and most lessons (topic) require a guest speaker who interact with students.
Course objective : To get students in touch with different aspects of small businesses creation or takeover.
Prerequisites : Finance and legal issues.
Organization : Lectures, case studies, class discussions with presentations from real-world practitioners (entrepreneurs, bank, venture capitalists, experts, etc.).
