Course contents : Give a basic exposure to the subject of monetary and financial economics. The course is set up as a macroeconomics course, based on microeconomic analysis. In this sense, the course provides a systematic overview of theoretical developments, as well as their day-to-day applications on financial and monetary markets. A special focus lies on the role of the financial sector in general, and the banking industry in particular.
Prerequisites : Introductory microeconomics
