Course contents : The course covers each of the industrial and intellectual property rights following a scheme that outlines the fundamental elements of the legal regime in place. Within the framework of industrial property, trademark law, designations of origin law, patent law, design and model law are analysed. We will examine these elements of industrial property in conjunction with copyright and neighbouring rights, protection of computer programmes and databases, which fall within the sphere of intellectual property.

Course objective : The course aims to give a global vision of industrial and intellectual property rights in Belgian law and to mention European and international legal sources.

Written notes : Syllabus
Assessment : Written exam covering the entire subject and divided in two parts. The first part is theoritic (it's a multiple choice question paper). The second part is practical (solution of simple and complex practical cases).
