Course contents : Study of the biological explorations used in various pathologies such as cardiovascular diseases, obesity and diabetes, bone markers and osteoporosis, tumor markers, autoimmunity, inflammation,...
Course objective : This optional course belongs to the program of the orientation "clinical biology" proposed by the 1st "licence" in biomedical sciences. It follows upon the obligatory course of clinical chemistry. It gives additional information on laboratory tests useful for assessing and monitoring diseases affecting a significant part of the population, for example obesity and diabetes.
Prerequisites : Clinical chemistry (including clinical enzymology) (CHIM0432-1).
Workshops : No practical work. Visit of laboratories and demonstrations.
Organization : Course given during the 1st four-month period (from the 6th week).
Written notes : Copies of the projected boards and notes of course.
Assessment : Written examination.
