| Course contents :
| Modeling techniques:
- Buildings modeling
- Site modeling
- Buildings differentiated descriptions: geometrical, topological, numerical and symbolic system.
Work methodology in digital environment:
- Surface modeling: three-dimensional surfaces creation and edition, surface triangulation.
- Volumetric modeling: solids modeling, 3D edition and Boolean operations.
- Generation by extrusion, revolution, sweeping.
- Analysis: graphic treatment of information and performance evaluation of the design.
- Data management: tracing papers, levels, layers
Particular aspects of architectural modeling by objects. Creation and edition of architectural objects: walls, roofs, staircases etc.
Presentation techniques of 3D models:
- Image rendering: methods, graphic formats, time computing
- Lights and image rendering, shade and illumination models
- Camera concept and interactive sights, animation
Final work: Development of a personal project in several numerical formats with Web presentation | |

| Course objective :

- To acquire a global vision of technologies of assisted modeling: to show the possibilities and to determine the limits;
- To control in an autonomous and structured way a software environment of architectural modeling;
- To manage methodically the successive phases of digital modeling.
