Course contents :
  • Physiology of digestion
  • Feeding units for energy and nitrogen
  • Description of groups of feedstuffs in relation with the nutrients contents (carboydrate, proteins, lipids, fiber, non energy nutrient).
  • Feedstuff analyses, additive and legislation
  • Pratical rationing in production and companion animals
  • Introduction to dog feeding in a live cycle.
Course objective : Knowledge in nutrition (nutrients and feedstuff) in order to balance rations for production and companion animals.
Prerequisites : Anatomy, biochemistry and physiology related to nutrition

Assessment : Written examen with open questions. The pratical details are given during the lecture.
