Seminar in text reading in Dutch

Course contents : The seminar consists in a presentation in Dutch by each participant of a comparative analysis of two articles on the same issue, one from a Dutch speaking magazine or newspaper, one from a French speaking magazine or newspaper. Each presentation is followed by a debate in Dutch.
Course objective : The objective of this course is to familiarize the student with the lecture and the presentation of texts written in Dutch.
Prerequisites : A basic knowledge of the Dutch language.
Organization : The seminar is organised in groups of 15 to 20 students. It is organised all along the academic year (two hours per week).
Assessment : The evaluation is continuous on the quality of the work achieved during the sessions and of the papers submitted. Two presentations per student are expected. During the oral examination in June, each student must present one of the texts which have been analysed during the sessions.
