Course contents : The scientific development and the technological innovation are major components of our contemporary societies. Form the invention of the steam engine to the new biotechnologies, the techniques changed not only our relation with nature but also our relation with the Man.
Course objective : This seminar aims to question these complex and fascinating relations, which exist between science and society
Prerequisites : Texts in english and french
Organization : On the basis of text of reference, the students are invited to reflect and show critical spirit.
Assessment : The examination is an oral examination with open book.
