| Course objective :
| Problem of democratic processes is seen each year through the study of a definite thematic. During the academic year 2004-2005, it will be social capital theory through the work of Robert Putnam. | |

| Being able to read sociological literature in english | |

| Organization :
| Students are supposed to read a part of a book and to prepare a lecture on their reading. The teacher or an assistant helps preparing the lecture. | |
