Course contents : Disposable medical devices: general définitions- Medical devices of respiratory tract - Medical devices of digestive tract - Medical devices of urinary tract - Medical devices of digestive and urinary stomies - Medical devices of parenteral administration route - Wound dressing - Home total parenteral nutrition - Home administration of cancer therapy and co-medications - Palliative care - End of life treatments .
Course objective : Provide the student with sufficient knowledge of current disposable medical devices delivered in community pharmacy: characteristics, utilisations, patient counselling - knowledge of current disposable medical devices commonly used in hospital - knowledge of special techniques applied in home care: TPN, cancer therapy and co-medications, palliative care and end of life treatments (legal aspects of euthanasia and pharmacist implication).

Organization : Teoretical teaching : monday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am during the first semester.
Written notes : Full notes available.
Assessment : Written test followed by oral examination, if not successful.
