Course contents : Anatomy, physiology, histology, advanced kinesitherapy, and pathology of the thorax/lung system; respiratory counter-indications to athletic activity.
Course objective : Integrated approach of several underlying disciplines which allows the student to understand the functioning mode and dysfunctions of the respiratory system.
Prerequisites : Semester 3 courses, in particular physiology and general biochemistry.
Workshops : Based on recording and interpreting lung volumes and on adaptations of the respiratory system during physical effort.
Organization : Module during semester 4.
Written notes : Available at the office of the ISEPK.
Assessment : Written (open long and short answer questions) – June session.
