Course contents : The course of General Physics I covers different fields : mechanics, thermodynamics, fluids. It is followed (during the second year) by a second course (General Physics II) including : electricity and magnetism, waves, optics, atomic physics, nuclear physics.
Course objective : The goal of the course is to learn some new fundamental concepts, related to different Physics fields.
Prerequisites : Background : basic knowledge in physics and mathematics (high school level).

Organization : The course is organised as follows :
First semester : Monday 10:30 - 12:30
Second semester : Monday 10:30 - 12:30

"Physique pour les sciences de la vie et de la santé", by Joseph Kane et Morton Shernheim.
3rd edition revised by Ph. Ghosez, M. Hoebeke et G. Llabres.
(Dunod, Paris, 2004).
Assessment : The final exam is an oral exam.
