Course contents : The course is divided into two parts : the first is devoted to mechanics and the state of matter; the second to electricity and electromagnetism.
Course objective : Train the student to observe, think and understand the phenomena appearing around us; make a model and compare it with the experimental results.
Prerequisites : Good knowledge of vector analysis, trigonometry and geometry.
Workshops : Problems and laboratory practice are proposed , 30h each.
Organization : The students are divided into groups: each student has, per week, 2h of exercises or 2h of laboratory practice.
Written notes : Lectures notes are sold at the beginning of the year.

A web site is available wher the students can find applets illustrating some physics principles.

Lectures are accompanied with life experiments or illustrated by short movies.
Assessment : Written test in january.

Written test and laboratory test in june. Oral exam for the students not reaching 12/20 after the previous tests.

In september, a written test is organized and a lab test.
