Course contents : The lecture on Human Physiology is divided in three main parts. The first part describes the functions of the great systems of exchanges : the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, urinary system, digestive system, metabolism. In the second part, the main control mechanisms are analyzed : autonomic nervous system and endocrine factors. During the third part, the peculiar functions of the nervous system are analyzed : motor function, memory, learning, sleep, emotions...
Course objective : In human Physiology, we are concerned with the specific characteristics and mechanisms of the human body that make a living being.
Prerequisites : General Physiology and Biochemistry. Some basal notions of Physics
Workshops : Some practical exercises on Human Physiology will be organized during March

Written notes : The students will be able to obtain the notes about Human Physiology (Bref aperçu sur la Physiologie humaine) at Intercopy, route du Condroz, from the first days of september
Assessment : A written examination will take place during June
