Course contents : In the oceans, chemical, biological and physical processes interact in a complex and dependant way. This course specifically aims to give the basis of aquatic chemistry for the students in the Master in Oceanography.
Course objective : Introduction to cycles of organic and inorganic carbon, organic and inorganic nutrients, and biogases in various marine ecosystems.
Prerequisites : Basics in chemistry
Workshops : 5 h + 2 d of field work in Calvi (Corsica)
Organization : 30 h by 2 h slots
Written notes : Pdf files available from a FTP server
Assessment : Written theoretical exam (1/2) + field work evaluation (1/2).
