Course contents : Mechanical tests of materials, thermal treatments of steels,
choice of a steel. Tolerances and roughness measures. Machining steps dimensioning : scattering, stting dimension, cutting simulation. Fixing rules. Macine/tool interface, from a dimensional point of view. Turning particular techniques. Milling techniques. Drilling, boring, tapping, internal turning. Sawing and broaching. Cutting condition choice, optimization.
Division. Screw machining on a lathe.
Course objective : Methodical use of manufacturing processes.
Prerequisites : Genral mechanics, stength of materials, manufacturing processes.
